Pacaya Volcano

Tour Description

Interesting and exciting active volcanoe type “vulcaniano-estromboliano” with latitude of 2570 m.o.s.l. We have two tours per day. one starting at 06:00am to 13:30pm and the other from 14:30pm to 21:30pm. The pacaya volcano is an active volcano.

Depart from Antigua to San Francisco de Sales, small town in Escuintla, with 1900 m.o.s.l.

Agua Volcano

Tour Description

Beautiful symmetry elevation, located between Sacatepéquez and Escuintla Departments of Guatemala with an altitude of 3766 m.o.s.l. Please contact us for availability. This volcano is not active but more challenging than the Pacaya.

Fuego y Acatenango Camping (2 Day)

Tour Description

The Fuego-Acatenango massif comprises a string of five or more volcanic vents along a north-south trend that is perpendicular to that of the Central American arc in Guatemala. From north to south known centers of volcanism are Ancient Acatenango, Yepocapa, Pico Mayor de Acatenango, Meseta, and Fuego. This two volcanos are really challenging to climb but worth the effort.

09:00 a.m.

We drive up to La Soledad Town near Chimaltenango, with an altitude of 2,025 m.s.n.m.

10:30 a.m.

Walking up to the crater

15:30

We arrive to Cumbre Yepocapa or Las tres Marias , with an altitude of 3,800 m.s.n.m. and we start to camp.

17:20

Arrival to the highest point in volcano 3,976 m.s.n.m.

2 Day

05:00 a.m.

We depart to the Fuego Volcano, 3,824 m.s.n.m.

07:00 a.m.

We eat our breakfast in the middle of both volcanoes.

10:30 a.m.

We arrive to the crater of the volcano, exploration, lunch.

12:30

We begin to descend in direction to Alotenango.

17:00

Arrival to la Antigua Guatemala.

Sailfishing in Guatemala
